Elizabeth Banks is producing the show which will follow paranormal investigator Traci Thirteen and her father Dr. Thirteen.
According to Variety, the CW is developing the new supernatural drama. Actress/director/producer Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect) is set to executive produce. Project 13 joins a growing stable of DC projects at the CW, including Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. It is unclear at this point whether it will be a part of the “Arrowverse,” or exist as a stand alone world.
From the article in Variety.
Titled “Project 13,” the one-hour drama would center on Traci, a twenty-something forensic scientist and believer in the paranormal who discovers her own hidden extra-sensory abilities when she joins her estranged, skeptic father to investigate mysterious cases of the paranormal and unexplained phenomena. Traci and Dr. Thirteen have appeared in multiple comics within the DC Universe, including “Flashpoint” and “Batman.”
Traci Thirteen is the latest in the long line of “Homo Magi,” humans born with innate powers of sorcery. Paradoxically, she is also the daughter of Dr. Thirteen, a noted skeptic of the paranormal. Dr. Thirteen was created by DC way back in 1951, while Traci is a more recent creation who first appeared in the September 2003 issue of Superman.
