John Marcotte
President

John Marcotte is the founder of the Heroic Girls’ Foundation and current Chairperson of the Board. John is a TEDx speaker, a Huffington Post blogger and a nationally recognized expert on gender and pop culture. He has lectured on gender issues at universities and comic-book conventions across the country and consulted with Fortune 500 companies on how to better market to girls without reinforcing harmful gender stereotypes. He is a 2016 HeForShe Champion for Change honoree and the father of two heroic girls of his own who inspire him to try and make the world a better place.

Jennifer Rimoldi
Treasurer

Jen Rimoldi currently serves as the treasurer on the Board of the Heroic Girls Foundation and is also the grant and funding coordinator. Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and currently works as an engineer, specializing in design and construction of roadways. Her experience of working in a male dominated career has allowed her to bring further insights into promoting gender equality, especially in the STEAM field. Jen is also the mother to two wonderful young boys and hopes to raise them to regard the values of gender equality as highly as she does.

Sarah Phillips
Secretary

Sarah Phillips currently serves as the secretary on the Board of the Heroic Girls Foundation. Sarah also served for 4 1/2 years on the Executive Board of the David Lubin Parent and Teachers Group (PTG), a 501(c)3 organization -- three years as president.  In this role, she helped create and implement the new position of STEAM Coordinator (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math).  Sarah is currently working to build her photography business.   Sarah and her husband Jesse live in Sacramento with their three children.  She is passionate about gender equality and raising strong, kind, independent young people.

Iris Dimond
Board Member

Iris Dimond is currently a Director on the Heroic Girls Foundation Board. Iris is an early childhood education Professor for Cosumnes River College. Iris brings a wealth of knowledge and resources to Heroic Girls with her early childhood education background and experience in education. Iris has been described as inspiring and enthusiastic by past students. In her free time, Iris enjoys creating art, jewelry, and ceramics.

Andrea Cash
Board Member
"Andrea Cash has worked in higher education for over a decade and currently works at the University of San Diego School of Business. She is an alumna of USD, receiving her master’s degree in Leadership Studies with an emphasis in nonprofit leadership. Over the course of her career, she has had the privilege of supporting a variety of schools and nonprofits, including the Japanese Friendship Garden and Living Coast Discovery Center.

Andrea recently became a new mother and is extremely passionate about raising children in an equitable and diverse environment. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys crafting, sewing, and spending time with friends and family. She is an avid cosplayer that loves to wear her new creations and designs to a variety of social events."

Jasmine Wade
Board Member

Jasmine Wade is college professor and writer whose work explores Black and Indigenous relations in art and literature as well as Black Lives Matter era aesthetics and converses with Black and Indigenous feminisms, queer of color critique, and scholarship in Black aesthetics.
