My daughter Anya loves comics and really wanted to be The Huntress for Halloween. Since we couldn’t make a costume for her and leave her sister out, we decided to recreate the current “World’s Finest” team. We took them to Sac-Con and entered them in the costume contest on a whim. We didn’t know there was a kids’ cosplay contest. And they won!
It was their (and my) first attempt at cosplaying anything, but I think it worked out pretty well. If the girls are still interested, we will do it again next year — but it has to be their idea. I don’t want to turn into the nerd version of a “Toddlers and Tiaras” parent.
