I got a Rocket Racoon promotional poster from our local comics shop Empire’s Comics Vault the other day. My girls, Anya (9) and Stella (6) have absolutely fallen in love with the Guardians of the Galaxy — particularly Rocket. They are both saving allowance to buy Rocket action figures. He appears to have leap-frogged Gamora as their favorite character.
I didn’t tell them I got the poster. I framed it, and Patti and I brought it into their room while they were reading last night. They were ecstatic to say the least.
Anya: Rocket Racoon! Rocket Racoon!
Patti: Stella, did you see we got you a Rocket Raccoon poster?
Stella: Mommy, that’s a Skottie Young Rocket Raccoon poster.
I was so nerd proud.
